Something NEW from Avon!

I really thought long and hard about what I would do for the first Avon product review. I was going to do one of the classic fragrances or something like their liquid deodorant that's been around for eons and eons. Then I tried one of my demos, something new and different. I was/am so impressed that I'm going to lead off with it!

The product I'm talking about is Spectra Lash Mascara. I can hear some of you saying, "Come on, Old Paint, mascara is mascara." Well, it is in that mascara is used to color your lashes, but that's where most of the similarities end. Avon has great basic mascara in its Wash-Off Waterproof formula, full price $6.50, goes on sale usually for $4.99 or less. Spectra Lash has a dial that lets you dial your personal lash coverage. They claim that on No. 3 (highest coverage), your lashes will be eight times thicker than they are without this mascara. I'm not so sure it's that much, but there's a big difference. I keep mine at No. 2 and I love it. It goes on smooth, doesn't seem to clump and it looks fabulous! I don't have particularly great eyelashes either, but they DO look great coated in Spectra Lash. I am also highly allergic and there is no burning or itching with Spectra Lash. (And, yes, you Doubting Thomasinas, I've worn it more than once. :)

When I first saw it in the Demo book, I thought that dial was sort of gimmicky. I still think that, maybe just a little.
